To create the vacuum in the cups you get a chrome and black plastic vacuum hand pump.

Vacuum Cupping Set Instructions:

1) Insert the desired vacuum cup into the black rubber pump fitting on the vacuum hand pump.

2) Place the cup against the skin, hold in place and squeeze the hand pump to achieved the desired level of vacuum pressure and stimulation.

3) While holding the vacuum cup twist the pump while pulling it straight away from the vacuum cup. If you have a proper seal the cup should stay firmly in place for quite a while before you need to apply more vacuum pressure. If a good seal is not achieved see the helpful hints below.

Note:Depending on the amount of vacuum pressure you apply, the length of time that you leave the cups applied and your unique level of natural tendency to bruise you will experience redness or "hickie"like bruising which will last anywhere from 2 hours to a couple days.

Helpful hints for using your vacuum cups:

• To achieve a better vacuum seal, use a lube such as Surgi-Lube on the skin around the area where the rim of the cup will come in contact with it.
• Hairy areas are hard to seal! You can get a better seal by trimming or shaving the area where you apply the vacuum cups.
• Removing vacuum cups is easier if you pull the air valve at the top of the cup; which will release the vacuum pressure. You can also tilt the cup while it is on the skin to break the vacuum seal.

You can clean your plastic vacuum cups by washing them in warm (not hot) water with a small amount of anti-bacterial dish soap, then rinse in clean water and allow to air dry.

Do not suck water into or submerge your vacuum pump in water.

Never use boiling water, harsh detergents when clean your plastic vacuum cups, and do not use heat when drying them.
